To Blog Or Not To Blog (or if only I'd been a hockey player...)
A Florida teenager wrote in his online blog that he was responsible for his best friend's death in a car crash. (Ironically, the guilty teenager was in the back seat at the time of the crash, but interfered with the driver who then lost control.)
Police used the blog as evidence to convict the 18-year-old of manslaughter. In spite of a plea deal which allowed him to dodge a 15-year sentence, he has been sentenced to 5 years in prison, 10 years probation and banned from driving for life.
Too bad the kid wasn't a hockey player.........
