Game Over on Called 3rd Strike at CBC!
WP: Don Cherry, LP: Robert Rabinovitch
It appears that contrary to all the 'logic' of Canadian cultural gurus, Don Cherry is in and Robert Rabinovitch is on the way out. Apparently 3 strikes during his relatively brief tenure at the CBC are too many for even the Liberanos to swallow any longer.

And if you're wondering why there had to be a third strike at the CBC (when there had already been two confrontations that clearly demonstrated his lack of qualification for any administrative job), read this story from Nov. 4, 2004 (when he was given a new 5 year contract):
