Voldemort Struts His Stuff

Prime Minister Martin was in Newfoundland on the weekend to reassure the mayors and city councillors of Canada's major cities that he is their best friend.
"For too long you've been underfunded. For too long you've had little input into shaping the national agenda," Martin told more than 1,000 delegates at the federation's annual meeting.

'Municipalities, therefore, are a crucial order of government, and ought to be recognized and treated as such. Yet for too long they have been underfunded. No word on whether any af the 1000 muggles mayors were able to overcome the power of Voldemort long enough to remember exactly who has been responsible for the fact that "for too long they have been underfunded. For too long they have had little input into shaping the national agenda."

One thing he did succeed in doing was to get everyone up in arms about the mean old Tories who have the temerity to refuse to rubber stamp the Budget bills.
