Hey George: We're Almost There!

The British government is planning to use satellite tracking to charge all drivers in Britain for every time they drive anywhere in England and Scotland. The key points of the plan are as follows:
- Each driver would be charged for every mile of his or her journey.
- The maximum price would be £1.34 a mile on busy roads at peak times.
- A pilot scheme covering a region or large conurbation could be operating "within five years".
- If all goes well a nationwide scheme could be rolled out within 10 years.
