Baby, We've Come a Long Way From Bridal Registries

The Chinese government has announced that all websites must register with the Government or be shut down.

'Private, noncommercial bloggers or Web sites must register the complete identity of the person responsible for the site, it said. The ministry, which has set a June 30 deadline for compliance, said 74 percent of all sites had already registered'.

Isn't it wonderful how in just a few short years we have witnessed an explosion in the opportunities to have our names live on forevermore, electronically etched for all time, for all purposes. As the saying goes, be careful what you wish for.
